Dear Loved One,

As anyone knows if they’ve ever heard me read my birthday cards aloud, I thoroughly enjoy receiving the greetings sent to me. And this time of year, receiving valentines—whether from my dear wife Anna or our kids and grandkids—brings a reminder of my place in our family, as the loving, welcomed affirmations manifest gracious acceptance and warmth.

We all need those things—regular reminders of our value to others, and that’s why God’s Valentine—the deep, unshakeable love and affirming of your value and mine—is always there: His Word! Abiding, truth-filled, and overflowing with love and affirmation, it isn’t restricted to a single day in February but has been given for year-round encouragement.

My whole life’s ministry is to help people capture the contents—to “lay hold of” and embrace ALL that it means to be a beloved child of the Father. So please begin by reading what I’ve written to you this month. I hope that it will strengthen your heart as a disciple of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Knowing His TRUE LOVE is what begets true obedience and faith on our part—growing in each of us who receive the in-grafting truth of God’s Love Letter, and multiplying that through our willingness to love and serve others.
