Is Jesus the only way to God?

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’" John 10:7-9 reads, "Then Jesus said to them again, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.’" Here we see Jesus referred to as "the way" and "the door."

We also have the picture at Jesus’ crucifixion and subsequent death (Matthew 27:51) that "…the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom…." The footnotes in the Spirit-Filled Life Bible, for which Pastor Hayford served as General Editor, under this passage reads:

The veil was the thick curtain between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies (see Hebrews 6:19; 9:3; 10:20). The fact that it was torn in two from top to bottom indicates that this was not an act of man. Jesus’ death opens the way to the presence of God.

Only the priest, after he was completely cleansed could enter the Holy of Holies, the very presence of God. He went in behalf of men. But because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice, through His blood, we are all welcome into God’s presence.

We are so grateful for God’s love and heart that says He "…desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…."
