| What Does The Bible Say About Marrying Someone Who Is Not A Christian? | ||||||
It is not with an unloving heart that Pastor Hayford speaks of the heartache involved in marrying a non-believer. When you do this, you have stepped into disobedience to the Scriptures (II Corinthians 6:14). What sometimes seems to happen is people will : 1) rush into marriage with a non-believer, instead of waiting for the Lord's best for them, or 2) due to hurts experienced in the past from Christians, have chosen to believe there is no difference, and thus enter marriage just as anyone would that doesn't know the Lord. It is true that Christians are not perfect and there have been devastating things happen in families that profess the Lord. But Gods best is always best! Jeremiah 29:11 says, "My thoughts toward you, says the Lord, are thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." |
