Did We Exist Before Conception? What About Reincarnation?


The Bible does not indicate in any form that we existed prior to our conception. There are several scriptures which talk about God forming us "from the womb" (Isaiah 44:2), "called me from the womb" (Isaiah 49:1), "in the womb, I knew you" (Jeremiah 1:5). There are none that show God talking to us or about us in Heaven, prior to our birth. This belief comes from Mormonism (and possibly other New Age cults,) but it is not scriptural.
