Pastor Hayford is in the business of building up the Body. He feels called to build bridges, not fences. That is the reason he will not condemn other ministries, even though he might not condone their practices or teachings. This is often perceived by some as an approval of the people and ministries he refuses to condemn, when in fact, it should say nothing at all except that Pastor Hayford feels strongly about unity in the Body of Christ. We trust that God will continue to confirm His directions as we pray for each other, seeking renewal of Gods grace in wisdom and power. What I would desire to communicate to you can be summed up in the following quote: "In essentials, unity--in non-essentials, liberty--in all things, charity." Our recommendation would be, that no matter who is doing the teaching, and no matter how comfortable you feel with them, we should always be like the Bereans ("...they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so..." [Acts 17:11] -- searching out the Scriptures ourselves. |
